Mentorship Through Movement pairs BIPOC youth with experienced guides—including retired military leaders, elder skaters, and certified educators—who serve as Master Mentors of Movement (MMOMs). Through skating-based activities, mentees develop confidence, discipline, and emotional resilience while building practical life skills. This veteran-led program stands apart because it's intergenerational, culturally affirming, and completely free for participants.
Rather than focusing solely on skating technique, we use movement as a pathway to deeper growth, addressing the unique challenges faced by youth in underserved communities. The program creates safe spaces for authentic connection and guidance that extends beyond the skating floor into everyday life. If you know a young person who would benefit from positive mentorship or wish to volunteer as a mentor yourself, contact us to learn how to get involved with this transformative program.
